Healthcare fundraising supports research into new treatments and preventive measures, and provides care and support for caregivers, especially those who lack adequate financial resources. Therefore it’s a critical part of the work we do at Amergent. Our clients include many of the top Comprehensive Cancer Centers in the country, several Children’s Hospitals, and general healthcare centers.
We support these clients with analysis, strategy, and integrated (direct mail and digital) creative, copy, production and reporting. This blog contains some of the ideas and results of over thirty years of fundraising success. We’re still learning, however, and we want to hear from you.
Rick Christ, (@FundraisingRick) the blog editor, has been a direct marketing professional since 1978, and has concentrated on fundraising since 1989. Rick came to Amergent in 2009 with the merger of NPAdvisors.com, the web fundraising consultancy he founded in 1999. While there, he guided many nonprofits in expanding their presence online, including Childfund International, Plan USA, Operation Blessing, and Save the Children. Rick is a frequently published author on the topic of digital fundraising, with articles in Contributions Magazine, DM News, Marketing , CASE Currents and most often The NonProfit Times. He also speaks to groups about the potential for digital to enhance fundraising, including the Association of Fundraising Professionals, the Direct Marketing Association of Washington, and the Direct Marketing Association’s Nonprofit Federation.
Rick is a Past President of the Direct Marketing Association of Washington, and a Contributing Editor to The NonProfit Times Direct Response Marketing Edition. He is a founding member of the Integrated Marketing Advisory Board.
